So this one comes with a story attached...
My best friend of almost 28 years passed away last Christmas. He was a multiple tour survivor of Iraq and Afghanistan. But more important, is that he is my friend. As kids we had a dream, corny and silly as it seems, to one day write our own Field Manual and TRO for our BattleTech game that we played, virtually every day, from the first day he and I started being friends. Ironic that we didn't start that way... we actually used to have a shared best friend, and it started a rivalry. But that rivalry made us better people. When he died, I promised myself that before I go, even known the work would never, ever see the light of a publisher's desk because of the content going in to it, that I would finish it, and maybe publish it to it's own website for BattleTech fans the world over to appreciate and enjoy. I am lucky that my best and dearest friend Shannon, and now Sk8ter, are helping me to make this a reality.

He's not here now to appreciate this... but I know wherever he is, he's smirking in his own pugnacious way, and is probably pretty touched. 

So to Eric, Jason, David, Peter, and everyone who played MechWarrior with us over the years... especially Eddie: Come on you ape's, you want to live forever!?
